Marsden Woo is pleased to present this collection of works on paper by Kerry Jameson. A small selection of the paintings were originally shown in her 2016 solo show Alchemy at our previous Shoreditch location, but most have never been exhibited before.

Her starting point for this series was the caves at Lascaux, and while some of the animals featured can be recognised, other strange, dream-like creatures form a powerful link between the mythological and the everyday. Using an expressive palette of earthy reds and ochres, as well as pencil and pen, these dynamic works on paper highlight Jameson's versatile practice and immerse the viewer within an intriguing realm amidst the past and present, the hidden and the emerging, the extraordinary and the commonplace.
