Pam Su graduated from RCA Ceramics and Glass in 2018. She has made a powerful body of sculpture exploring collisions of colour through clay and glaze. Her current work with clay and glaze is a deep endeavour to get to the root of her ideas through experiment with minerals, and has had spectacular results. She discovered that extremely thick glazing on the clay body makes forms of its own, when you can begin to predict materials' response to heat, and anticipate them a bit more. The mixes of materials, high temperature fusing, multiple firings, flow and melt; these are the daring attributes of fresh thinking in ceramics.
